Payne Stewart Kids Golf Foundation In The News
Brentwood, TN (March 14, 2022) Cathy Harbin, a Class A member of the PGA of America and a PGA Master Professional, recently was appointed to the board of the Payne Stewart Kids Golf Foundation. Cathy also is a member of the PGA Board of Directors as its second only At-Large Director. With over 25 years as an operator in the golf business, including 12 years managing the World Golf Village golf courses, Cathy has perfected training and operational systems that create a consistent world class experience along with sustainable profits. Additionally, she is a member of the LPGA and Vice President of the National Golf Course Owners Association.

Each NextLinks eGolf Arena venue will include Payne Stewart Golf Experiences
SAN DIEGO, CA. – February 9, 2022 – NextLinks, a new revolution in indoor golf, today has partnered with the Payne Stewart Kids Golf Foundation to offer golf programming, instruction, and equipment to younger kids at all NextLinks eGolf Arena venues.

Brentwood, TN (August 23, 2021) – The Payne Stewart Kids Golf Foundation will be increasing its fundraising activities during the month of September with a national online auction through a new partnership with OneSpare and TravelPledge.
OneSpare is a free donation management platform for golf courses that helps streamline donation requests, promote golf courses, and receive outing and private event leads. They are assisting in requests and managing donated golf foursomes and stay and play packages from golf courses and resorts. And TravelPledge is the platform that will set-up and run the Payne Stewart Kids Golf Foundation auction that starts on September 16 at 8:00am CDT and runs through September 30 at 8:00pm CDT by taking bids and managing the fulfillment process…
Fun event to benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of America golf programs

Golf programming to be offered to thousands of kids for the first time
Brentwood, TN (June 23, 2021) — The Payne Stewart Kids Golf Foundation has entered into a long-term agreement with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America offering golf programming, instruction, and equipment to thousands of young kids across the country who attend Boys & Girls Clubs. Golf will now join the sports line up allowing all kids to experience and learn the basics of a game for a lifetime.

SAN DIEGO, CA. (Jun 15, 2021)Whenever U.S. Open week arrives the name Payne Stewart will always be front and center. The two-time winner tragically died in an airplane crash in October 1999 – just months after winning his second U.S. Open in epic fashion with a closing winning putt at the final green. A statue commemorates the pose Stewart displayed when doing so and is located 50 yards to the left of the 18th green at Pinehurst #2.
New Fun PHIT America PLAY GOLF Program School Program
Washington, DC, June 2, 2021 – The Payne Stewart Kids Golf Foundation announces a partnership with PHIT America, a national charity focused on improving the physical and mental health of children in the U.S. by providing increased physical activity programs. As part of the partnership, the Payne Stewart Kids Golf Foundation will be the Supporting Sponsor of the new PHIT America PLAY GOLF program, which provides kids with introductory golf skills through fun, game-based curriculum and age-appropriate golf learning equipment to after-school and out-of-school programs. Brentwood, TN (May 13, 2021) — The name Payne Stewart will forever be etched in our minds and memories not only as an elite golfer who won 11 PGA TOUR tournaments, including three major championships, but also as the dapper dresser in signature knickers and a flat cap who dramatically holed a final putt to defeat a young Phil Mickelson at the 1999 U.S. Open. This popular and inspiring champion with one of the game’s most fluid swings died tragically at the age of 42 in a plane accident.
A key aspect of Stewart’s legacy, as directed by his wife Tracey, is to help lower-income and inner-city kids across the country learn the game of golf. To achieve that goal, the Payne Stewart Kids Golf Foundation was created to design groundbreaking youth programs that would have a broader reach than conventional programs.
The resulting Payne Stewart Golf Experience (Camps & Clinics) is a true introductory golf program designed to compete with little kickers soccer, t-ball and other youth sport development programs.
